Our Trinity ISE Level 1 examination preparation course is especially suitable for London private hire drivers or for anyone else living in London who needs to prove their level of English for visa purposes. Excel English is listed by Trinity College London as a Preparation Centre.
The Trinity College ISE examination is a modern qualification testing the 4 main language skills of reading, writing, speaking & listening. At Excel English we offer preparation for Level 1, which is for learners with a B1 (Intermediate) level of English on the CEFR (Common European Framework). If you take the examination as a SELT (Secure English Language Test) the ISE Level 1 qualification will prove your level of English for some visa or citizenship purposes or for the TFL language requirement for private hire drivers.

Our part time afternoon or evening preparation courses allow you to fit in studying round your work or home commitments. You will study all 4 major language skills (reading, writing, speaking & listening) as well as learning grammar and vocabulary and practising essential exam techniques.
Before you enrol on this examination preparation course, we will ask you to take an assessment test to ensure that you are at the correct level for the course. If you are below the level required, we recommend that you join our General English classes for a few weeks before the start of your examination course.
We recommend taking the full 4 week course (4 hours per week over 2 sessions), but if you cannot enrol for the complete course, please contact us to discuss studying for fewer weeks. This would usually only be possible at the beginning of each course.
