All of our teachers are trained native English speakers, and they have lots of experience of teaching English as a foreign language to students from around the world. As well as our full time staff – detailed below – we have a group of regular part-time teachers who work with us when required.
Kerry has worked at Excel English since 2007 and previously worked as an English teacher in Japan. Kerry was appointed Director of Studies after working as Senior Teacher. Amongst other things, he is responsible for placing students in the correct level class on their first day at the school and choosing the very best teachers for our students.
Tricia has worked at Excel English since 1999 and is a very popular teacher on our general English and exam preparation courses, and also conducts our Teacher Training courses.
Carla has been teaching at Excel English for a number of years. Students enjoy her imaginative English classes and have produced some amazing films as part of their work. As well as teaching General English classes, Carla also conducts our Teacher Training courses along with Tricia.
Andy has been with the school since 2011, and is a very popular member of our team. Andy has previously worked as an English teacher in Italy, and Excel English students love joining the regular “sport in the park with Andy” afternoons on our social programme! He also assists Carla and Tricia on our Teacher Training courses.
